Laan Family

Covid has caused a lot of us to rethink how we do things. For me, one of those things is newborn photos. I had never done newborn photos outdoors. I met the Laan family in Canmore to capture their sweet babe and I'm so glad we did outdoor. You know how much I love shooting outdoors! I'm pretty sure outdoor newborn sessions are my new fav.

Of course she hadn’t slept in the car at all on the way out so she was super ready for a nap. She wasn’t her usual happy self…but you know what I saw? Two new parents who were calm and relaxed. They rolled with it. They pulled out all sorts of tricks to keep her happy. I thought to myself, “these guys are going to be just fine.” And they will. With deep love and their relaxed partnership, their sweet baby girl is in good hands.

I hope I get to see them again soon.
