#frontporchproject

I wrote this post back in August and failed to hit publish. Crazy thing is, months and months later, here we are, still dealing with covid, still feeling like this life we’re living is like none other and still wondering what the best way to manage this all is. Even though this post is way past due, it really does sum up how I felt about the #frontporchproject…or feel about it, is probably a better way of saying it. It was such a privilege to meet so many of you and to share a little bit of joy. Thank you for joining me on the journey!

I wish I had the words to communicate what the #frontporchproject meant to me. It was such a privilege to meet all of you and to share a bit of this crazy time with you. 2020 has been a year like none other.

And, well, that’s a wrap. While it’s sad that I won’t be meeting families this way anymore, I’m so thankful that the natural end to these means that life is returning to a more normal pace, people aren’t feeling quite as painfully isolated and the need for these sessions simply isn’t there.

I am so thankful for each home that invited me by and each story I had the privilege of being a part of. For the record, if anyone is wondering, I was able to be at roughly 274 homes. Crazy, right!? Also, in my books, so very cool. Thanks to everyone who participated. Thanks to everyone who paid it forward to #supportlocalyyc. Thanks to everyone that shared your stories and your hearts with me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Be safe. Be well.
