L+R :: Banff Wedding
It has been foooorrrrreeeeeevvvvver since I have posted here. It seems only fitting that a bit of a new start here would feature a new start for this beautiful couple.
These two decided that covid was not going to stop them. Neither would the cold. As it turned out, the day was perfect and exactly what they were hoping.
We started out at the Solara Resort and Spa in Canmore, getting ready and enjoying all of the special details for the day.
It was beautifully intimate; the bride, the groom, her mom and her step dad. There were quiet moments even as they were getting ready. There was so little stress; exactly how they wanted it.
Then it was off to Banff, to the base of Bow Falls. While it wasn’t as cold as it could have been - we heard on the news that there was 34 degree difference (to the better) from that date the year before - it was still cold so we moved fast and snuggled lots. I was reminded again how thankful I am for technology in this covid season; more family joined us via facebook and zoom. Lots of love. Lots of joy. Lots of smiles.
Then it was back to Canmore to relax, eat and enjoy. The groom took over his position as king of the grill. Dad made lobster tails and twice baked potatoes while mom pulled out her famous cheesecake. It was a celebration that suited these two so well. And, to make the night perfect, their team’s season home opener happened to be on.
Here’s to many years of love and happiness! XO
